Supple flow of mind and body

A newborn is soft and tender,
A crone, hard and stiff.
Plants and animals, in life, are supple and succulent;
In death, withered and dry.
So softness and tenderness are attributes of life,
And hardness and stiffness, attributes of death.
Tao Te Ching; 76 Flexibility

I saw this in an article that I was reading and thought that it fit in where I am and what I want to do with what I am doing every day. Designing Developing Web Applications.

The Child is the Father of the Man and Further Praises of Non-Fiction

As I continue to deal with having to become a kind of parent to my mom, I’m saddened and scared. It is at this time that I’m also encouraged by some of the writing in The New York Times of late, essays from folks coming to grips with other brutal issues with grace-burial of a loved one’s ashes, a musician writing an album as he faces his final months ravaged by lung cancer, a guidance counselor dealing with a singular encounter with a student that was murdered, and how she impacted that child’s life. I continue to be moved by the power of non-fiction, that offers the greatest stories of all. Now to hone the craft of writing without letting my pen bleed.

NYC Blackout 2003

Damn this has been a full few days! I have sent most of it in the dark but I was ok and relieved that no riots broke out or any real wide spread panic occurred. I would assume that our experience over the past few year here in NYC has jaded us to an event such as this. Who wants to mess things up with what we have gone through. But it also makes me glad that I live in a city ant so many people can easily work together to for the overall good of the community.

well that is all for now. I have been neglecting this place but I have been trying to get the other writer to help fill these pages to no avail.

Ignorance Is Bliss

After reading a post on macrofun I followed the link to find that people are very uninformed on the subject of flash. There is not much I can say that Macrofun did not say. Some people where calling for Macromedia to take this up as a challenge to start a competition for a study of Antarctica’s problems.

ICE

wow. I just hit this excellent engine for Flash called Illogicz Collision Engine (ICE) created by Stuart Schoneveld. The Pinball demo is amazing. Very good work man.

Sean Voisen pointed it out on his site.
