Train Wreck Freak

I wrecked trains because I like to see people die. I like to hear them scream.

escaped prison 1937, not heard from since

Oh man this one showed up in my random quote of the day. Freaky man freaky.

A Design/Engineering Spin on CSSZengarden

Say hello to CSS factory. Christian Heilmann talks about a new project that popped out of his brain and landed on his blog. In this entry he talks about the need for a more practical application of the CSS wizardry that comes out of CSSZengarden. he calls for designers and tech guy to come to gether to display their skills at making such a system work.

I differ with him in one major way. It is not the CMS but the template system that is integrated into the CMS that is the real issue here. How good of a solution can the tech present to the designer? And can the designer take advantage of such a system to create the practical layouts with the ability to change them at a whim? I have always seen this a a seperate solution from the CMS system itself. I see it as a template system.

There are a cornucopia of CMS solutions out there. We do not need a better CMS, we need a better way to present content. I say Chris shoudl focus his idea to a template system, not a CMS.

Model-Glue’s new release

I am looking to persue getting this framework to work with some of my applications. You should read the details of the new release 0.9. As far as I can tell it is a rebust framework for cold fusion but the feature that has gotten my attention is the seperation of configuration data in a seperate xml file. Gone are the days of having that info in your Application.cfm file.

A Linux view of Windows

I had been looking around and reading FullAsAGoog.com and cam across Sean Corfield talking about an article that he read recently about a Linux user installing Windows XP. Tak a looka thte article it’s a far read but better yet it is alway good to look at Windows from a different perspective.

Cold Fusion and Derby

Well I was hunting around for some CF gold and came across Brandon Harper’s blog talking about how he wanted to use Derby with Cold Fusion. It’s a little gem that I want to hold on to and investigate in the future.

The article that he points to talks about CFAnywhere (it’s not an application but a way to package CF and an app. you created to be easyly installed anywhere) which I am very interested in.
