AjaxIM

Thanks to Ryan Guill today I have discovered AjaxIM.

What does this mean? Well I have used it and it is a IM client for the browser. Like AIM and Adium. You can open a browser and have access to a buddy list and chat windows. All created through javascript. It really is interesting how javascript has evolved over the last couple of years and the things that you are capable of now.

UH OOO… Don’t Click!

Andy Jarrett found this great link to a italian (well I think they just used “.it” because it’s the word “it”) website called DontClick.It. A fasinating look into user interface design and the fundamental preconseptions we have about it. The author of the site examines the clicking of the mouse and are there any alternatives. The clever way that he has circumvented the click is very interesting. The user interface that he has come up with is actually very intuitive and I found that I could navigate and use the site without clicking pretty quickly.

I would recomend visiting the site and finding out for yourself what can be done to get around having to click.

WP Theming

As some of you (well those that I think might actually read this blog) might know I have changed the design of this site quite often. This entry by Ozh looks very promising even for my own site or if I actually release one of my designs.

The Jedi is seen

Ray Camden got recognized as one of the 100 blogs being reviewed by The Blog Herald on day 12. This site ( i.e., The Blog Herald) seem quite interesting but filled to brimming with ADs hehe. Sorry it’s what I remember from browsing the site. :P But it ended up being a good read non the less.

You might want to pop on over to Ray’s entry about it and say hello.
