How do you tell your daughter how beautiful she is?
You tell her that she is the type of beauty that pull your heart out of your chest and puts it on your face to bask in the sunlight of her beauty. You tell her that she will never be in the dark because of the bright twinkle in her eyes. You tell her that you can bask in the glow of her wonderfully vibrant soul forever. You tell her that you love her.

As I do on most mornings I read through different blogs and webzines. I ran across this small gem of a non-tech entry in one of my tech blogs I read (this one by Mike Kruger). A great entry that made me think about my daughter and I just could not remember something she said that was similar to what Mike had talked about.
I am sure she did say something but still it sent that warmth through my heart thinking about her and how smart she is. She amazes me all the time on how perseptive she is. Her desire to be heard is very strong. And I have to remember not to squelch any of these qualities that I admire in my daughter.
Forever I will love you
Forever I will hold you
Forever I will scold you
Forever I will know you
Forever I will see you in my heart
Forever I will call you daughter
Thinking mortal thoughts brings me to realize again the treasures in my life and the trials I have yet to meet.
My daughter Amanda was at a baby shower and she had won a bunch of ducks. This picture was take to commemorate this event.

Another beautiful boy for my good friend Chris Cocking. Take a gander at the picks he sent the other day.
Well today I went to the fair with my brother and his family and took my cell phone. It takes pictures. Yeah like a lot of geeks out there I have a cell that takes pics. Well I actually used it today. Here you go. There is one great one of my nephew on his first Merry Go Round ride.
Enjoy well those that are family definatly will but you, Joe Reader, might also.
After letting this sit on my computer for just about 2 years now I am placing up all the highlights from our trip to paris. Enjoy I know I did.
I had to upload this picture of my nephew Michael. Just too entertaining.

Damn, I hate moving. and especially this time since our landlord is evicting us. We did not expect this to happen because of our long standing as a tenant of 7 years not to mention that we have worked to improve the place also. ah well.
We had a choice and it was a hard one to make. We either could fight it, win and stay or let them terminate our lease and move (something that we where thinking of already and planed on doing at the end of our current lease). They both would incur high cost to us financially 3-4000 yams either way.
Fighting meant that we had to hire a lawyer who wanted 2000 up front and had a whole slew of hourly rates. Even with all that we still would of won because of a law on the book that superseded a clause in my lease about the pet. it goes like this; we had our dog longer then 90 day when they decided to send us the notice about the possible eviction. The law states that we would have to have the dog openly and notoriously for that period of time, which we did. Not only that but there are video cameras at each entrance.
Letting them end the lease meant that we would have to find a new place and fork over the first month’s rent, security and broker fee (if applicable). The rent runs to be about the same as the lawyer. Then we will paint the place maybe get new furniture if our other stuff does not work, etc. etc.
So, if we fight we incur those costs, then we plan on moving, which has it’s own costs. Double the money for less the fun. Once we got to this point in our thinking the decision was easy — let them end the lease.
Ok, so we found a place, we send in our info for the background check, credit check, essentially opening our lives to the new landlord — damn! but that another blog entry all together — and our current landlord starts messing with us. Great this does not help us get out. we where waiting for them to take action and evict us. they kept on dithering until we sent in a letter stating our intentions (most likely a mistake, but hey, I want to get out). now they are asking us for rent for this month too. get out of here. then they say that they are going to show up on monday to asses the damage to the house because of the dog! Man that is pissing me off.
Not sure what I am going to do now but one thing is guaranteed … I’m moving.
This past Sunday @ 12:43pm Julian Cocking was born and a few minutes later I took this picture of him.

He is the child of my good friend Chris Cocking. Congratulations we are all happy for you!
